About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher in Cabinet Making to join our Construction team. In this role, you will deliver engaging and industry-relevant education that supports students in achieving their learning and career goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver training and assessment aligned with VET and curriculum requirements
  • Support student engagement, attendance, and outcomes
  • Maintain teaching and compliance documentation
  • Participate in industry consultation and curriculum development
  • Provide pastoral and academic support to students
  • Design and develop inclusive and contemporary teaching resources
  • Collaborate with industry and stakeholders to ensure vocational relevance
  • Mentor and support entry-level teachers and contribute to curriculum updates


Skills and Experience Required

  • Relevant vocational qualifications and current industry skills in Cabinet Making
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
  • VET teaching experience, preferably in Cabinet Making or related trades
  • Understanding of ASQA/VET compliance requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to use ICT effectively for teaching and reporting
  • Commitment to learner-centred teaching and continuous improvement


Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
